OUUF Singles Group Meeting
The UU singles group will meet at Railroad Bridge Park at 5:00 PM, Monday, July 24. The meal will be pot luck. If you’re already on the mailing list for this event hit “reply all” when you decide what to bring to ensure a diversity of menu items. If you’ve never been before, contact Pat MacRobbie for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org . This first meeting of this group was a huge success, so if you’re an OUUF single, think about joining the fun!
OUUF Summer Lunch Program Still Needs Volunteers!
OUUF still has 1 week remaining in supporting the Sequim Summer Food Program. This program provides a healthy lunch to any child (up to the age of 18) who wants it and only takes ~2½ hours out of your day.
We completed the week of July 10-14 (see ‘Thank You’ section elsewhere in the Weekly) and still have openings for our second week, August 21-25. There are four locations this year:
· Carrie Blake Park
· Mt View Court Apartments
· Elk Creek Apartments
We’re looking for at least two volunteers at each site each day. Sign-up sheets have been posted on the bulletin board in the sanctuary. Please consider volunteering for this worthwhile program. Contact Greg Sensiba [email@example.com, (360) 683-8914] with any questions.
New Staff Member-Pattie Miles
It is with the greatest of pleasure that I announce we have hired a social media editor. Pattie Miles comes to us via Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Port Townsend, Washington. Pattie has been doing newsletters, Sunday announcements and the church calendar at Quimper Fellowship. Pattie will soon be doing similar work for OUUF! Details will follow next week.
